Chris is survived by his wife, Tamara,
                                     daughter, Savannah, and son, Patrick,
                                     of Brandon, Miss.

                                     His parents, George and Mary,
                                      of Madison,  Mississippi.  His sister,
                                     Denise, her husband Jay, nieces,
Sullivan, Britton and Caroline all of

                                      Connor, Heath, Caitlyn, Peter, Jr.,
William, and Kellen, Jr. also survive him.

Chris enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, skydiving, reading military books, watching James Bond and Clint
Eastwood movies, spending time with family and friends and smoking a good cigar.  Most, when they think of Chris,
remember the Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses and flip flops that he always wore.  But you certainly can’t think of him
and not remember that wonderful smile.  It was almost as big as his heart, which was made of gold.  He was a good
and honest man.  As his sister Denise and wife Tamara put it “There was no middle ground with him……….right
was right and wrong was wrong.  There was no in between.”

He was also known for his positive attitude and practical jokes.  His personality was as bright as those big blue
eyes.  Some stated that Chris wanted to make his country better, and that is exactly what he did.  He believed in
what he and the other SF soldiers were doing, and he proudly did it paying the ultimate sacrifice for the country,
family and friends he so dearly loved.
Before leaving for Afghanistan Chris spoke with his father saying, "Don't cry for me if I get killed where I'm going. It
would be the most honorable thing I could ever do - to die for my country" That was the type of man, soldier,
American he was.

                          SPECIAL FORCES PRAYER

"Almighty GOD, Who art the Author of liberty and the Champion of the oppressed, hear our prayer. We, the men of
Special Forces, acknowledge our dependence upon Thee in the preservation of human freedom. Go with us as we
seek to defend the defenseless and to free the enslaved. May we ever remember that our nation, whose motto is "In
God We Trust," expects that we shall acquit ourselves with honor, that we may never ring shame upon our faith, our
families, or our fellow men. Grant us wisdom from Thy mind, courage from Thine heart, strength from Thine arm,
and protection by Thine hand. It is for Thee that we do battle, and to Thee belongs the victor's crown. For Thine is
the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. AMEN"
